In the pre school we have two large areas with non slip flooring allowing free flow at all times. The environment is planned to encourage development with opportunities for construction, role play, water/sand, mark making, science, IT, music, maths, language and lots more. We also have a link to the garden for independence. Every day we are allowed to play in all areas and we know to keep safe we must tidy up as we go; this helps us have fun playing with all the different toys, to learn new skills and make lots of friends. In the warmer weather we like to free flow play in the big garden and when we can we like to go out into the local community and have adventures.

As we are the older children we like to be adventurous and the staff encourage this by introducing woodwork, writing, science and lots more. Daily we try or learn new skills and the staff praise us and record things in our individual development files alongside the Foundation stage framework.

We have our independence in this room to we are encouraged to self serve with drinks and meals, look after our personal hygiene and to help our friends.
